This is Follow The Money, an oil and gas newsletter from the team at:
💰Time is money, and our goal is to help you save yours.
📰 Wake up every day to the top news stories, yesterday’s posted price Bulletins, Nymex and Henry Hub strips.
📊We may even sprinkle in some proprietary data here and there (shh)!
⛽All you need to do is be you and let us handle the rest.
🆓For those of you who refer friends (3 to be exact), you will also receive our Premium Monthly Newsletter – free of charge.
😃If you’re a Barrel Hub subscriber, then it’s good to see you!

Daily Data Dump
The good, the bad, and the ugly of Texas oil production.
Best of the Best 🏆️
Every week, we sift through our proprietary data to find the best performers in Texas.
Never Quit 😢
Similarly, we find the oil producers who need a little help (i.e. call Barrel Hub).
If you’re wondering how we get this information, we’re under strict orders from OPEC not to disclose that (but if you want to know you can go here).

Lone Star Stories
Nations worldwide pledge to cut methane emissions by 30% by 2030, with oil-dependent countries requiring aid. US and EU are entwining climate action with policy, targeting methane reduction.
With a green thumb on the pulse of power, Biden's team is cooking up plans to regulate natural gas stoves and turn down the heat on methane emissions.
Navigating through the political kitchen, the aim is to serve up climate policies that don't just reheat Obama-era leftovers but offer a fresh, flavorful recipe for the energy sector.
Reader Question of the Day
What are some examples of enhanced oil recovery (EOR)?
Overall, petroleum engineers and geoscientists employ a variety of methods to increase the amount of oil that can be recovered from an oil field, a process known as enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
Below are a few key techniques:
Thermal Recovery
Chemical Injection
Gas Injection
Microbial Injection
Each of these techniques has its advantages and disadvantages and is chosen based on the specific characteristics of the oil field and the oil itself.
We’re going to stop writing here since we took the “dumb” chemistry and physics classes in college (don’t lie, we know you did too).
